LaCrema Branding Redesign / Packaging Design
This projects objective was a branding redesign and a packaging design to accompany it. I chose to redesign La Crema Sonoma Coast’s Chardonnay. First, I thought of where the wine was produced. Sonoma Coast is known for its appellations and rolling expanse of land. The climate is cool from ocean wind and fog intrusion. I wanted to incorporate that into this design and by doing so I made a subtle background layout of a foggy expanse of Sonoma Coast’s diverse landscape. I redesigned La Crema’s brand name using an elegant font to compliment the simplicity of the overall design. To convey the diversity of how their chardonnay is made, based on climate, and location, I used the main font with a complimentary paragraph font demonstrating type hierarchy elegantly.
Most wine labels are basic by being square or rectangular. For this particular label I wanted to emphasize the design throughout but adding that touch of uniqueness to it by making it an abnormal shape to compliment the design of the foggy hills displayed.
Throughout the completion of this project I have demonstrated the use of type hierarchy, color theory, and packaging design layout.
